Attorneys Who Will Fight For You
There are two main approaches to achieving a positive outcome in a criminal case:
Fighting the charges or
Seeking the best possible plea agreement
When fighting the charges is no longer a practical approach, we present as many mitigating factors as possible while trying to minimize the presence of any aggravating factors. If we are able to show enough mitigating factors, it is often possible to obtain a favorable plea agreement without having to go to trial. In some cases, it is necessary to go to trial.
If the police arrest you, do not say anything that could incriminate you and do not consent to any searches. If the police ever ask questions, state that you are invoking your right to remain silent unless and until you have had a chance to consult with an attorney. At this point, police will stop asking you questions.
Always be respectful toward the police, even when refusing to speak to the police or declining consent to search. If you are arrested, never resist the police. If you are arrested and are guilty of the crime you are being charged with, your cooperation or lack thereof will affect greatly how favorable your plea agreement will be, if a plea agreement is the best option for you.
If you have been arrested or charged with a crime, it is important that you hire an attorney to fight your charges or seek the best possible plea agreement, but also to ensure that your rights are preserved.
